Discussions, not content
The most important thing to remember is that CoTribes is not a platform for content distribution. It is a platform to connect with others and discuss ideas.
That means that your value in the community is not based on engagement rates, vanity metrics, or viral posts. But rather based on participation and what you have to offer the community.
Don’t just sit around waiting for job opportunities.
Engage with the community and you will eventually meet the right people and find the right opportunities.
You don’t have to spend hours on the platform or donate any money (although you can if you want to!).
Adding your thoughts, sharing resources, and giving your input on ideas are very valuable contributions.
What can you offer the community? Maybe you could host a physical or virtual event, offer ideas or suggestions to better the platform, dedicate some time to moderating the forum, or invite friends to join the community.
Getting involved in community affairs will make you a more prominent member of the tribe, helping shape its future and what it will become.
It goes without saying that maturity and kindness in discussions is a must. This is not Twitter or Quora. The vibe here is very different.
At CoTribes, we want to focus on the things that bring humanity together.
Co-existence despite our differences. We focus on what we have in common, not what separates us.
To quote Pink Floyd, “We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl”.
Be yourself, be real, and enjoy making new friends and starting fun projects!
If you need more help figuring out what is or isn’t allowed, read and adhere to our community guidelines when you post.
